Start-up is typically late April into May, once the risk of hard freeze has passed. Winterization is best done in late September or early October, ahead of the first freeze. Both seasons book up quickly, so schedule ahead if you can.
My cooler is blowing air but the house isn't cooling. What's wrong?
Most often a failed pump or dried-out pads — the fan works but no water is reaching the pads, so you're just moving warm air. It's usually an inexpensive fix.
Should I keep my swamp cooler or switch to central air?
